THE I FIGHT Like Seth Alliance

The year 2020 began like any other — until normalcy quickly changed. By March, we found ourselves in the midst of a global pandemic. Still, life had to go on, and so we adapted.

Seth was a senior at Hampton High School, a proud member of the marching, concert, and symphonic bands. He played the French horn and the mellophone, and he had a deep love for art. Outside of school, he worked at Baskin-Robbins, where his quiet but humble spirit left a lasting impression. Seth was known for his kindness, his strong work ethic, and his genuine heart. Music, sneakers, and his sister — the bond they shared was something truly special — were his greatest joys. Seth believed deeply in the power of prayer and the importance of being kind.

In May 2020, Seth was diagnosed with Renal Medullary Carcinoma (RMC), a rare and aggressive form of kidney cancer. From that moment forward, “What do we need to do?” and “Let’s do it!” became his guiding mottos. Despite the unimaginable challenge, Seth graduated from high school while bravely fighting this monster — earning multiple awards and recognitions along the way.

Until his very last day, Seth fought with incredible tenacity and strength, determined to show cancer who was boss. His spirit, courage, and faith continue to inspire us all.

To live #IFIGHTLikeSeth and to remain #sethstrong means to face life’s battles with courage, faith, and an unbreakable will. If we can embody even a fraction of Seth’s strength, we can conquer anything.

#IFIGHTLikeSeth — now and always.

OUR MOTTO IS….

“difficult but DOABLE!”

#IFIGHTLikeSeth is a way of life, and everyday we strive to be #Sethstrong.

Seth was diagnosed with Renal Medullary Carcinoma. He began treatment after 9 days of testing and surgeries at the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughter in Norfolk, Virginia. His Primary doctor was Dr. Owen.  Seth was provided incomparable care.

Seth went through innumerable rounds of chemotherapy. Nausea, lethargy, and pain became constant companions. He had his right kidney removed in November 2020, and even had fluid collect in his lungs, causing him to need oxygen. Seth still smiled in the face of these trials and this season of suffering. Seth was more concerned about what would happen to his family than himself.

Seth was selfless in the face of death.

Our loving boy laid his sword down on March 16, 2021, at 11:54 PM.

It is our honor to carry on his #legaC, to give ourselves to those in need. We will spread awareness about Renal Medullary Carcinoma, but it won’t outshine Seth’s light!!
